Dr. Julian Vasquez Heilig is a nationally recognized scholar of education policy, leadership, and equity and a professor of educational leadership. His research and commentary is widely cited in major media outlets including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Associated Press, and Education Week. Dr. Vasquez Heilig is a frequent media commentator who has appeared on major local and national television and radio outlets such as Democracy Now!, MSNBC, Al Jazeera, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, PBS, NPR, Univision, and LatinoUSA. In addition to television and print media, he has been featured on 17 national podcasts and radio programs. He also co-hosted the Truth For America Podcast, focused on Teach For America. He writes about education policy, leadership, and democracy, and he welcomes opportunities to join podcasts and media conversations on these issues.
