What: Education Writers Association Diving Into Data Workshop Session

Panelist:  Julian Vasquez Heilig, UT-Austin, Holly Hacker of the Dallas Morning News, and Kristin DiCerbo of the Center for Digital Data, Analytics and Adaptive Learning at Pearson.

How well do local schools prepare students for college? Which teachers are leaving the classroom? Have federal school improvement grants had any impact on districts’ lowest-performing schools? Those are some of the data-based questions that journalists will explore at the Education Writers Association’s second “Diving Into Data” workshop Feb. 22-25 at the University of Texas at Austin School of Journalism.
