There’s something about people who are motivated to make the world better. People like you.

As you watch this video, you’ll see it – an inner glow that illuminates the faces of people from across the University of Kentucky College of Education.

Whether the faces belong to aspiring educators, like Hailey Wells, whose voice and piano music you hear throughout this piece, or future physicians like Harrison Pfeiffer, or faculty such as Sahar Alameh, whose love of science bubbles over into her classroom, it’s clear that this community cares about making the world better, one light at a time.

We welcomed five new faculty who bring high-impact, diverse perspectives to their research, celebrated more than $5.6 million in new grant funding this year, made strong strides forward in groundbreaking partnerships for equity in education, experienced a meteoric rise in national rankings, and honored our Olympians and national champions. And that’s just the beginning, as you will see below, with more stories of success to follow. We are proud of the luminous reach of the University of Kentucky College of Education.

There’s much more to come!

Best wishes for a brilliant new year.
